Narellan Jets Rugby League Football Club: A Macarthur Institution Since 1977
First grade, reserve grade, third grade, women's, U18s, league tag — the senior Jets carry nearly five decades of Narellan league history.
Few local sporting names carry the weight of the Narellan Jets. Founded in 1977 and based at Narellan Sports Ground (Millwood Avenue), the Jets are one of the most enduring rugby league clubs in the Macarthur region. They compete in the Wests Group Macarthur competition — one of the strongest district leagues in NSW — and field a full set of senior teams that reflect just how deep the club's roots run.
One club, every grade
The senior Jets don't run light. The club fields:
First Grade
Reserve Grade
Third Grade
Women's Rugby League (WRL)
U/18 Boys
U/18 Women's Rugby League
Ladies League Tag
Over-35s League Tag
It's one of the most complete senior club setups in the district — a real men's, women's and youth program under one banner.
"A longstanding part of the Narellan and broader Macarthur area rugby league community."
Forty-eight years of footy
Since 1977, the Jets have been a constant — turning out teams, raising players, and giving generations of Narellan locals somewhere to belong. The club's identity has been forged through tough seasons, big wins, and the kind of resilience that comes from being a genuinely community-run operation. The Anzac Day round, Old Boys' nights, and special memorial matches are calendar fixtures that connect the current squad with everyone who's worn the jersey before them.
Beyond the scoreboard
The senior Jets pride themselves on fairness, respect for opponents, and a positive attitude — win, lose or draw. It's why the club has stayed competitive in tough competitions, retained players, and built the kind of supporter base that turns up week after week.
