Narellan Jets Junior Rugby League Club: Better to be a Jetter

A club where the next generation of Narellan kids learn the game, build mates for life, and wear the Jets jersey with pride.

Some clubs make rugby league players. The best ones make people. The Narellan Jets Junior Rugby League Club has been doing both since 1977 — turning local kids into footy players, and footy players into the kind of mates and teammates who stick with you for life. Based at Narellan Sports Ground, the Junior Jets are one of the most established junior clubs in the Macarthur area, and a fixture of grassroots league in South-West Sydney.

A club with deep roots

The Narellan Jets story stretches back nearly five decades. The Junior club is the youth engine of that legacy — feeding into senior grades and producing players, volunteers, and lifelong supporters who keep the Jets flag flying year after year. Generations of Narellan families have come through these ranks. Plenty more will.

"Better to be a Jetter."

What the Jets stand for

The club's focus is firmly on developing players from a young age, supporting juniors all the way through to senior pathways. There's a real emphasis on fairness, respect for opponents, and the kind of attitude that makes you proud regardless of the scoreboard. It's why the Jets remain such a respected name in Macarthur District Rugby League.

The club calendar is more than footy

Beyond fixtures, the Jets run special rounds — including the much-loved Anzac Day memorial matches — Old Boys' nights, and community fundraisers that bring families and former players together. These aren't admin events. They're the moments that make the club what it is.

Why locals back the Junior Jets

  • Nearly 50 years of history in Narellan and the wider Macarthur area

  • Strong junior-to-senior pathway â€” develop here, play here for life

  • Values-led club culture â€” fairness, respect, resilience

  • Real community spirit â€” events that bring everyone together

Pull on the Jets jersey

Whether your child is brand new to rugby league or already a footy nut, the Junior Jets have a place for them. Coaches and volunteers are always welcome too — every great club is built on the people who give their time.
